EMPOWERING TOMORROW'S LEADERS
OUR VISION
There is nothing our world needs more than people who care about the needs of others, who can discern and do the right thing in ambiguous situations, who have the skills and knowledge to make a difference and who strengthen the communities in which they live. For 150 years, Missoula Catholic Schools (MCS) has developed such people, offering a quality education grounded in faith and values from preschool through high school. To continue to serve our community and our students at the highest level, MCS needs to provide updated tools, resources and facilities. These goals will better position MCS to carry out its mission to form students of compassion, conscience, competence and community.
We hope that you too get caught up in this vision and the related labor of love, and that you will join us in taking pride as our students make their profound impact on Missoula and the world beyond. We need to build a new high school, update our facilities and grow our endowment to best serve our students— tomorrow’s leaders.
They are our gift to the world!
The Tradition with a Vision Campaign is your opportunity to contribute to the Missoula Catholic Schools’ vision for the next 150 years. Missoula Catholic Schools has a long tradition of superior education with a vision of forming outstanding citizens that are leaders in our community. Our schools invoke the Holy Spirit’s assistance in teaching and learning, helping our young people discern their life path and express their unique gifts and creativity.
St. Joseph and Loyola Sacred Heart have grown, and to meet these needs and to ensure the best college preparatory school in Missoula we need a new home to grow with it. By building a new high school, renovating our existing schools and building our educational endowment, we ensure that every family – every child – will have access to the holistic education and opportunities that our schools offer. We also confirm to our Catholic school teachers that their vocation to serve does not require them to forsake being able to adequately provide for their own families.
We have been blessed with major benefactors who have committed lead gifts totaling $6 million who invite you to join them in this campaign to build a state-of-the-art high school. Their desire, echoed by the MCS Foundation leadership, is to create and enhance opportunities for families to pursue a Catholic college preparatory experience that provides formation of the whole person.
